WHAT TYPE OF COUNSELLING DO YOU PROVIDE?

I have been a Certified Counsellor for over 27 years, providing personal and family counseling. I am not an addictions or substance abuse counsellor. Most of my clients come to see me for stress, relationship issues, life transitions, grief, and being “stuck”.

Aside from general counselling, I also work with people to incorporate holistic practices into their lives in order to shift negative paradigms in order to cope with their issues.  

 

These practises could include:

  • Meditation

  • Self-hypnosis

  • Journaling

  • Working with your Spirit Guides

For some clients, I may also utilize some energy techniques which can help reduce the body’s stress response. 

 

These may include:

  • Emotional Freedom Technique

  • Breath-work

 

HOW LONG DOES A SESSION LAST?

The first session will usually take 1 ½ hour as I will need to record your history.  After that, most clients prefer a one-hour session. However, some clients who travel a distance prefer a longer session of 2 hours. We can work towards a timeframe that best suits your needs.

CAN SESSIONS BE DONE BY PHONE/ SKYPE/ ZOOM?

Yes. I have many clients who have regular sessions by phone/Skype/Zoom, or even email.

 

PREPARATION FOR YOUR APPOINTMENT

Please do not partake in alcohol or recreational drugs for 12 hours prior to a session. Otherwise, there is nothing you need to do regarding your diet or caffeine intake.
